On Friday, February 28, a group of about forty BUA students drove up to Royalty Inn in Gorham, New Hampshire, stopping at Wendy’s along the way. We were excited to discover that the inn had a swimming pool, so if you’re interested in coming next year, don’t forget to pack a swimsuit! We stayed the night, and the next day, we left the hotel for an enjoyable day of skiing at Bretton Woods. While the weather was cold, and it even snowed, the trip was a blast!

We started out the day with a filling breakfast.

We then drove over to Bretton Woods and skied all day. The views were gorgeous and the conditions were perfect! Many students impressed the others with their skill, despite not having skied much before.

We even discovered a mid-mountain candy shop.

We finished up the day with waffles and hot cider.

Before leaving, we checked out the cool ski museum in the lodge.

Overall, the trip was a blast! If you didn’t come this year, definitely sign up next year. Bretton Woods has a wide range of terrain, from groomed greens and blues for beginners to groomed blacks, glades, and terrain parks for experts. The drive is long, but it’s absolutely worth it. This year, there was a wait list, so if you’re interested in attending next year, make sure to sign up early!
